His marketing career started with Pfizer, Inc., New York, lead on to Shiley, Inc., California and from there to Radiometer A/S, Copenhagen, where he was hired to head the Monitoring Division in 1985. Peter Kürstein was in charge of Radiometer’s medical business since 1987, except for the period 2001-2004, when he headed the Innovation offspring, which lead to the successful acquisition of Radiometer by Danaher Corp.

Prior to joining BIG,Tine worked 8 years at AP-Møller Maersk in various positions in Denmark, China and Trinidad.

Jesper Elsgaard has extensive experience in strategic optimization, brand launching, Life Cycle Management strategies, and forecasting. Currently, he is Senior Director of Global Governmental Affairs at Bavarian Nordic A/S. Prior, Jesper has lead the North Europe Consulting team (Benelux, UK, France and Nordics) at IMS Consulting Group with success, and turned around the whole organization in terms of operational efficiency and client centricity. He has also worked as Global Marketing Director at Novo Nordisk where he was responsible for launching Levemir in 43 countries, and as a Management Consultant to McKinsey & Company where he participated in strategic and operational projects for top-10 companies in Denmark. Regarding his academic background, Jesper possesses a Master of Science degree in Strategy, Organization and Management from Copenhagen Business School, and has completed leadership programs at Harvard Business School, IMD International Business School and Ashridge Management School.

Sam Jalaei has, since 2000, worked with Danish and international mergers and acquisitions (M&A transactions), including planning and completing due diligence investigations, sales preparations and negotiating and drafting contracts. Sam has in recent years been involved in The Danish Ministry of Transport’s sale of the Danish Vehicle Inspection Agency to Applus Danmark A/S (2005), the Proark Group’s combined share and asset acquisition of holding companies and golf centers from the Pen-Sam Group (2006) and the combined share and asset acquisition of the Imerco chain stores and the transformation thereof to equity chain (2007). Furthermore, Sam advises on private equity, venture capital, corporate law and capital markets.

Michael Stanley

Michael Stanley has a M.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering, a Ph.D. degree in physics and an MBA from Copenhagen Business School. Michael has been taking up top managerial positions in both the commercial and technical divisions in companies active in the Oil & Gas, Chemical and Health Care sector, hereunder the Industrial segment for Hempel A/S. Further Michael has been living abroad for many years, latest in Switzerland, and taken up the position as Chief Development Officer for the Public Health Care company Vestergaard Frandsen S.A. Michael has extensive international experience working with partners in e.g. the US, Japan, Asia, Africa and Europe. Michael Stanley presently has the position of Vice President Sales & Marketing for NKT Photonics A/S.

Thomas Hinrichsen

Thomas Hinrichsen joined Falck in 2005 and he is currently General Counsel, Group Vice President responsible for legal and insurance related matters throughout the Falck Group. In addition, Thomas Hinrichsen serves as Company Secretary to the executive management and the board of directors of Falck. Thomas Hinrichsen has been deeply involved in the significant international expansion of the Falck Group in the USA starting in 2008 with the acquisition of a platform for its offshore and maritime safety training services in Louisiana, and as from 2010 with various acquisitions and growth projects making Falck the third largest private ambulance provider in the USA with more than 1,000 emergency and patient transportation vehicles and more than 3,000 employees. Thomas Hinrichsen is member of the board of directors of Falck USA, Inc. Thomas Hinrichsen holds a Master degree in Law (LL.M) from Copenhagen University and is admitted to the Danish bar.

Thomas Rand is Managing Director of Ramboll Energy, a business unit covering energy services globally in the Ramboll Group, which comprises approx. 700 staff in Denmark and abroad. Thomas has held various management positions in different business units at Ramboll, which has provided him with extensive experience in management and a proven ability in handling strategic and financial business aspects. Thomas has been responsible for the development of Ramboll’s waste-to-energy services to a point where it now occupies a leading position on a global level and subsequently for moving the company’s services in district energy and energy production into the international commercial market. At project level Thomas has participated as Project Director or Project Manager in a large number of waste-to-energy and waste management projects in which his profound knowledge of international tendering and procurement procedures as well as his experience and skills as a negotiator have been crucial.

Jacob Tolstrup began his career in finance with Abbott Laboratories. Shortly after, he joined Lundbeck and has been working since 1999 in a variety of positions beginning in Finance and Investor Relations, including Vice President, Corporate Relations (Corporate Communication and Investor Relations). For a total period of four years Jacob lived and worked in the US. First as head of Finance and Administration at Lundbeck’s research unit in Paramus, New Jersey and in 2010 he was appointed Vice President, Finance & Administration at Lundbeck’s US commercial headquarters in Deerfield, Illinois. In March 2012 Jacob was appointed Vice President, Corporate Business Development & Strategy and joined the Corporate Management Group. In January 2014 Jacob was appointed Senior Vice President, Business Development, People & Strategy with responsibility for Corporate Business Development and HR.

He was the Department of State’s country officer for Denmark and Iceland from 2007-2009.

After his degree in Geology at University of Copenhagen and five years at UNI-C, Erik founded Geokon in 1971. He has held the position as Managing Director until late 2011 where he took over the position as Director of International Sales.

Geokon is one of the oldest software houses in Denmark with a very strong home market selling GeoEnviron, an environmental information system, to the public sector. The system is exported to a series of countries and recently the system has been introduced to the US market. The main activities in the future will be to support our distributors in US, UK and Malaysia.
