The Confederation of Danish Industry and Danish Cleantech Hub in New York are delighted to offer your company the opportunity to participate in a unique and exclusive business delegation to New York on 1-4 November 2016.
The general building stock in New York City is per-forming very poorly in terms of energy efficiency. However, New York is targeting 80 percent GHG reduction before 2050, and since 75 percent of the city’s emissions come from its 1 million buildings, the focus is increasingly turning towards an improvement of the built environment.
New York is home to 15,000 properties over 50,000 square feet. These buildings account for almost half of New York City’s square footage, and as much as 48 percent of New York City’s total energy use. Build-ings in this scale also tend to have more sophisticated management and more financial and technical re-sources than do smaller buildings.
New York City’s new energy laws reflect regulations that are more stringent. Renovation or alteration projects are now required to meet the most current energy code.
The visit will introduce you to local players with genuine influence and decision-making capacity on the purchase of building materials and solutions for achieving New York’s ambitious goals on green growth.
